Sense of Place
Definition: To me, a sense of place signifies a place where you feel like you belong; somewhere that makes you feel completely comfortable and at peace in. A sense of place is an environment that you feel connected to; a place that sparks unique feelings of happiness, serenity, balance, comfort, and nostalgia when you are in such surroundings. Sense of place is more than just physical aesthetic features, it is a place that someone is emotionally connected to that brings them peace of mind.
